Dentist in Costa Mesa Says Reduce Stress for Back to School

July 31, 2017

Our dentist in Costa Mesa provides children’s dentistry. We love back to school season at Advanced Dental Care — but we also know kids’ dental health can get a little out of whack during August and September. Bruxism, or nighttime teeth grinding, may occur as your child starts to adjust their sleeping schedules to wake up early again. As your child gets back into the figurative grind, make sure their teeth aren’t getting into one, too. Learn more about preventing stress and associated bruxism in this week’s blog post from your dentist in Costa Mesa, Dr. Jeremy B. Jorgenson!

The Myths About Cavities and Tooth Decay

August 7, 2015

By Dr. Jeremy B. Jorgenson

Avoiding Tooth Pain

Humans are designed to use their senses to detect, explore, and understand the outside world and ourselves. We often follow the seeing is believing manta, but when it comes to health we have to rely on our providers and advanced tools to help us detect disease. Many painful and urgent dental situations can be avoided by routine brushing and flossing, a healthy diet, and REGULAR check-ups at your dentist. Just because you have a white smile doesn’t mean what’s lurking beneath isn’t harmful! And more importantly, once you think something is wrong you often require professional help to return your mouth to a state of health and happiness. Choosing Your Dental Crown

July 28, 2015

By Dr. Jeremy B. Jorgenson

Dental crowns can be an excellent solution for a variety of dental conditions. Dental crowns are made from a variety of materials such as metal, porcelain fused to metal, all-porcelain and all-ceramic. Depending on the reason for the crown and where the crown will be placed, we may recommend one type or the other. Dr. Jorgenson prefers to use all-ceramic crowns based on their strength, resilience, and natural aesthetic look. Dr. Jorgenson typically uses Glidewell’s All-Ceramic Lava Zirconia crown. You can read more about Glidewell’s product here.
